Lives in VA with his wife and two (general ridiculousness) sons, where he teaches 5th. He gets to geek out on American History and use big words like "interdependence" and "territorial expansion." He also plays with the variable acoustic band The Junker Georges, which has between 3 and 5 members, depending on who shows up.

Fly fishing, cooking, movies, books (biographies, mostly), architecture, mindless Disney trivia, mindless general trivia, travel, the beach, traveling to the beach, and doing mindless Disney trivia at the beach (while cooking).
DISLIKES
I don't really dislike anything! I used to hate onions, but I have found some instances where I really enjoy them (sautéed with mushrooms, specifically!). I believe that the meaning of life is summed up in Matthew 22:36-40 and in the words of James Taylor, who said, "The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time."
READING
I have been reading a veritable tome on the life of Walt Disney for about two years now and just can't get it done. I think it's getting longer, actually. I enjoy books on Maritime History and Pirates. I also dig Outside magazine, Southern Living (for the recipes!), Aquaman comics, and anything by Dave Barry.
LISTENING
Anything Switchfoot or U2 have ever done! Also, Randy Newman, Bruce Hornsby, James Taylor, Toots and the Maytals, Peter Gabriel, Jaco Pastorius, Louis Prima, Bing Crosby, and more recently, movie scores (especially Pirates of the Caribbean).
EATING
EATING Fresh fruits and veggies! Love 'em! Also, anything from the sea. And soups! I do love food! Did I forget to mention pizza...? And Mexican food!
